BEFORE
When we took on the property in Parkville. We knew there would be a lot of work ahead of us.
The property was looking very “live, laugh love”. The main area was separated into several rooms, which was a huge no-no and not conducive to creating a community gathering space. We partnered with Serge, our local contractor, and figured out what could be done.
The Process
It started with one thing: Vision
The goal was to create a space that encouraged three things - genuine connection & social engagement, deep work, and having fun. We worked off a few references of spaces that created a premium yet welcoming vibe. We also worked backward from what we wanted to avoid. The following are some phoos from the buildout process.
After
Deviant is coming to life.
We couldn’t be more excited with the results. We’re adding some final touches like artwork, completion of the wallpaper upstairs, and other odds and ends, but the essence is alive. Thank you for you patience with us and. We will raise our shells and Bula with you soon!
